The Theatre – Ephesus (Selçuk) Overview
The theatre, with a capacity of 24.000, is the largest edifice of all the other buildings at Ephesus and still an impressive well protected structure here.
The construction of the theatre started in Hellenistic period. It was celebrated during the reign of Emperor Claudius and completed in Train’s period. In front of the theatre, is a Hellenistic period fountain. The theatre, which is also impressive with its location, is one of the most attractive places in the city.
