Uludağ is reached via a 33-kilometer road from Bursa or a cable car. It is an ideal place for an enjoyable holiday with its picturesque scenery. Uludağ, which has rich mineral water resources and forests, is a camping-ground in summer and a ski resort in winter. It is the first and the most important ski resort in Turkey. It has developed parallel to the development of tourism and mountaineering in Turkey. A number of hotels have been built in this National park. Its name was Olympus in antiquity and the Monk Mountain in Byzantine period.
