Church of Saints Peter and Paul (Sen Piyer Kilisesi) – Istanbul
The white cross topping the pink doorway marks the entrance of the Church of Saints Peter and Paul that was built by the Genovese in the late 15th century. Inside the church grounds are a number of Maltese tombstones dating back to the nineteenth century when the church served the Maltese community here. Further back you can also see a section of the original Galata walls and two defence towers. To gain access to the church, visitors can come between 7 and 8 o’clock in the morning on weekdays, or between 10am and midday on Sundays and feast days.
